We believe that preserving the environment goes hand in hand with producing better quality food.
Our role as custodians of the countryside is one we take very seriously, and to that end we do as much as we can to safeguard the environment for future generations.
The farm is currently involved in European environmental schemes which help us improve and manage our woodlands and preserve wildlife.
We are looking to plant new hedgerows to protect our livestock from the elements and encourage wildlife to flourish.
Our ‘low input’ farming systems are in tune with increasing consumer pressure to omit or reduce agricultural inputs such as pesticides, mineral fertilisers, veterinary medicines and growth promoters.
We are members of the Welsh Assembly Government’s whole farm agri-environment scheme, and the farm accreditation scheme Farm Assured Welsh Livestock (FAWL).
